Correspondence of The Standard: Home Circle held the first meeting of the season with Mr. and Mrs. Washington Currie on the 10th inst, that being the 36th anniversary of their marriage. Had a right enjoyable time, and the best dinner I ever helped eat. If you are hungry, call on Mrs. Currie. The secretary’s report showed that The Circle had lost two members by death since its organization: Orson E. Rowley, who died Feb. 12, 1885, and Keziah Rowley, his wife, who died Sept. 16, 1889. The secretary prepared the following resolutions, which were adopted: Whereas, an all wise Providence has seen fit to remove by death from among us, Orson E. Rowley, and Keziah Rowley, it would seem that our records should bear some testimonial for their loss and tribute to their worth; therefore be it Resolved that in the death of Mr. and Mrs. Rowley, the circle has lost two of its most esteemed members, who were respected by all who knew them, for their sincerity and true worth; their death causes deep sorrow to those who knew them best. Resolved, that our sympathies are hereby extended to their family and friends, and that a copy of the above preamble and resolutions be forwarded to the Ionia Standard; that each member of the family be furnished a copy; also that they be placed on the records of this society.
