Ford M. Rowley, 92, of McKendry Road, Ionia, died Friday evening in the Belding
Christian Nursing Home.  Born in Easton Township March 20, 1892, he was the son
of Newton and Jessie Conner Rowley.  He married Pearl Palmitier in 1909, and
they made their home on the family farm.  She preceded him in death in 1951.  He
married Verona Wackerow Nov. 28, 1952, and she preceded him in death Oct. 5,
1979.  He was a life member of the Ionia Elks Lodge.

He is survived by two daughters, Beatrice Rathburn of Saranac and Mrs. Carl
(Helen) Bennett of Ionia, and one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Helen Rowley of Ionia. 
Also surviving are eight grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and two great
great grandchildren.  A son, Kenneth, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. from the Leddick Funeral Home.  Burial
will be in Easton Cemetery.  Memorial funds for the Multiple Sclerosis Society
and the American Cancer Society have been established in the care of the funeral
home.  The family will be at the funeral home Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and
Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services were held on Monday at 2 p.m. for Ford M. Rowley, 92, of rural
Ionia, from the Leddick Funeral Home.  Eldon Schram of the Easton United
Methodist church officiated with Mrs. Josephine Barna as the organist.  Burial
was at the Easton cemetery.

Pallbearers were Bob Mellinger, Edward Pant, Wilfred Baragrey, Charles
Onstwedder, Bruno Salazar and James Lewis.  Honorary bearers were members of the
Elks lodge in Ionia.  Following the graveside ceremony a luncheon was held at
the Ford Rowley residence for family and friends.
