Harry Merrit Rowley, 76, of Easton Twp. died Monday, Feb. 26, 1996 at his
residence.  He was born Jan. 28, 1920 in Keene Twp., the son of Vern and Martha
(Munger) Rowley.  He married Thelma Grummet on Sept. 19, 1938 in Easton Twp.  He
was a member of the Fishing and Hunting Club of Ionia County, Easton United
Methodist Church and for 45 years, the Ionia Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his wife Thelma, of Easton Twp.; sons: James (Judith) Rowley,
of Ionia, Roger (Ruth) Rowley, of Ionia and Glen (Pat) Rowley, of Georgia;
daughters: Doris (Francis) Stahl, of Trufant, Helen (Tom) Goss, of Saranac,
Phyllis (Bill) Daly of Fenwick and Teresa (Duane) Stalker, of Fenwick; sister
Louise Wilson, of Ionia; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three
great-great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one son,
one daughter, two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Easton United Methodist Church
with Rev. James Wilcox and Rev. Don Wells officiating.  Interment will be in
Easton Cemetery, and visitation will be today from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7
p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Lake Funeral Home in Saranac.  Memorial contributions
may be made to the Ionia Helping Hands Hospice or the Easton United Methodist
Church.
