Rozell, died at his home on Jordan Lake Avenue last Thursday afternoon after an illness of six weeks from heart trouble. For a few days previous to his death he was apparently gaining but the last summons came suddenly while he was sitting up in bed distributing some maple sugar to his grandchildren who were in the house at the time. Mr.Rozell was born in Bettville, Ohio in 1847 and came to Michigan about 22 years ago, settling south of Grand Ledge and afterward buying a farm in Danby where he and his family resided until four years ago when he built a home in Lake Odessa and moved here to spend the rest of his days. During the Civil war Mr.Rozell served two years in the cause of his country, having enlisted in the 72nd Ohio Infantry. After coming home he was married to Miss Georgiana Murray and to them were born two children both of whom with Mrs.Rozell survive him - Mrs.G.A.Sampang of this place and Chas.Rozelle of Belding.
