Oct. 17, 1946 Fred H. Rubach, 64, died at his home at 610 N. Jackson St., Friday afternoon, October 11, after three weeks serious illness. He had been failing in health for several months but continued his work at the Ionia Pottery company until he became critically ill. He was born in Ragendorf, Germany, May 30, 1882 and was about a year old when his parents came to Michigan and Ionia. On October 4, 1905 he was married to Miss Augusta Stoll, also of Ionia, and they celebrated their fortieth anniversary in October 1945. Surviving besides Mrs. Rubach are their two sons, Arthur and Herbert, a grandson, Ronald Rubach, a brother, Otto Rubach and two sisters, Mrs. William Stoll and Miss Minnie Rubach, all of Ionia. Rev. R.A. Rook officiated at the funeral service held from St. Johns Lutheran church, Monday afternoon. Burial was I Highland Park cemetery. Pall bearers were Harmon Rinker, Herman Hacker, Paul Schipper, William Miller, Fred Mueller and Ward Carlbach. Flowers were in charge of Mrs. F. Mueller and Mrs. Paul Schipper. Friends who attended the funeral from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dosher, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Dosher, Mrs. Arthur Stears, Moringa, Ill., Mrs. Caroline A_ _hterfeldt, Mrs. Robert Miller, Glenn Ellyn Ill; Mrs. Edith Stoll, Algonquin, Ill.
