Anson Rubedeaux, a Long Time Resident of Lake Odessa, Died April 10, at Alma Anson Rubedeaux who was born September 29, 1843, making him nearly 95 years old, died at the home of his daughter in Alma, April 10, and after a service that city conducted by the Rev. Byron Hahn of the Methodist church, the body was brought to Lake Odessa where a service was held at the cemetery with the Rev. L.W. Manning officiating. Mr. Rubedeuax was one of the early pioneers of the township of Sebewa, going there 70 years ago where he married Miss Frances Fell who died about six years ago. When the deceased decided to quit farming the family moved to Lake Odessa, having a home on Jordan Lake Street, near the lake. In an early day he often made coffins for the neighbors who requested him to do so. He was a remarkably young looking man for one of his age. At the death of his wife he went to Alma to live with his daughter Mrs. Lailah Ward. Other daughters left to mourn a father are Mrs. Minnie Durkee, Sherman City, Mich.; Mrs. Ada Braden, Grayling; Mrs. Etta Bonine, Beresford, S.D.; Mrs. Gertrude Scheidt, Lake Odessa; and a daughter Mrs. Daisy Johnson of Orofino, Idaho, and a son William Rubedeaux of Green, Idaho. There are several grandchildren and many more distant relatives.
