She was born January 29, 1912 at Clarksville, the daughter of Ensley and Mae (Hunter) Stuart. She married Jack Rudd September 16, 1929 and spent her married life on the Rudd farm in Berlin township. Mrs. Rudd was active in church and civic work. She was a member of Berlin Center Methodist church and served as organist for a number of years. She also taught in the Sunday school. Mrs. Rudd was a member of the aid society of the church and of the Progressive and Rural Mothers Study clubs. Surviving besides her husband are three daughters, Mrs. Janice Reinhardt of Ionia, Mrs. Gene (Joy) Roberts of Detroit and Karen June at home, one son, Leon, also at home, six grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Mae Stuart of Clarksville; three sisters, Mrs. Clifford Brooks, Mrs. Wayne Rose and Mrs. Harry Seelig, all of Clarksville, and two brothers, Malcom and Bruce Stuart, both of Clarksville. The body will be at the residence until Tuesday noon when it will be taken to Berlin Center Methodist church for funeral service at 2 p.m. The Rev. J. Lawrence Ward will officiate. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
