Ionia Sentine l- Thursday, April 5, 1900

Uncle Billy Rudd, one of the oldest of our citizens and for 40 years a resident 
of this village, quietly joined the ranks of the majority in the great beyond, 
at an early hour last Saturday morning. Death was due to a general wearing out 
and breaking down of the system caused by old age, the end scarcely a struggle 
he passed from this world into the other, leaving behind him the record of a 
life spent in toil and struggle against the conditions by which he was 
confronted. The funeral was held at the house, Monday, a very large number of 
friends and relatives being present. Rev. Waters delivered the discourse in an 
impressive manner. The interment took place on the family lot in the Westside 
cemetery. - Pewamo News
