The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, January 10, 1974
Funeral services for Martha S. Ruehs, 90, who died January 4 were Monday at 2 
p.m. at St. Johns Lutheran church.  Rev. Marvin Barz, pastor of St. Peters 
Lutheran church of Riley, officiated.  Organist was Mrs. Ruth Haslick and 
interment was in Balcom cemetery.

Bearers were grandson, David, Paul, Peter, Ralph and Ronald Ruehs and Phillip 
Keefer.  Following graveside services a luncheon was prepared and served by 
Ladies Aid members of the church in the school dining room.
