Court O. Adams at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the First Christian church. The body will be at his home at 218 Lytle street from Saturday until Monday noon. Interment will be in Balcom cemetery. Martin Rumisek was born May 13, 1879, in Czechoslovakia, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rumisek. He was married in Czechoslovakia to Katherine Tomcola. In 1920 he came to the United States and settled in Ionia. He worked at the Ionia Desk company and other places before starting his own upholstery business in 1938 in the basement of his home. Later Rumisek moved to the bottling works on Dexter street and was also located in the Sorois Garment factory. In 1942 he bought a portion of the Hayes Body plant, where he manufactured upholstered furniture that is sold statewide. Surviving are his wife, Katherine; two daughters, Mrs. Steve Vargo of Belding and Mrs. John Honson of Ionia; five grandchildren; a brother, Paul Rumisek Sr., of Chicago; and a sister Mrs. Paul Stahel of Ionia.
