Mary Helena Rumisek, age 87, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2014.  She 
was born on December 1, 1927 in Belding, MI the daughter of Glenn and Helena 
(Stout) Rial.

Mary was a graduate of Belding High School and was an Air Brush painter at 
Hughes Aircraft.  Before she was married, she worked at Jollykids clothing in 
Belding.  She loved playing bingo with her friends.  Mary also liked antiquing 
and going to swap meets to look for treasures, collecting hummels, Donald Duck 
and Snoopy figurines.  At home she enjoyed watching detective shows, Wheel of 
Fortune, football and basketball.  She loved to camp and travel America with 
her husband, Fred.  Her favorite thing was taking care of her grandchildren 
Katrina and Teddy when she lived back in California.  She taught them to shop 
for bargains at swap meets, count money, play games, catch a ball, and how to 
clean house.  Mary always looked forward to visits from her family and shopping 
with her daughter Marcia. 

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Frederick; sister, Eloise; 
brothers, Glenn and Alvin; niece, Annette.  Surviving are her daughter, Marcia 
(Ted) Johnson; granddaughter, Katrina; grandson, Teddy; nieces, Mary and 
Paulette; nephews, Gerard, Eddie and Tony. 

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Friday, December 
12, 2014 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ionia, with Rev. Thomas 
Boufford presiding.  Rite of Committal will take place in the spring at Mt. 
Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Ionia.  The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 
6-8 p.m. Thursday at Lehman Funeral Homes, 220 Rich Street, Ionia.  A Rosary 
will be prayed at 8 p.m. on Thursday.
