He was born on June 7, 1925 in Ionia the son of John and Emma Rumisek. Frederick was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ionia. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Frederick served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a Metal Spinner for the Douglas Company, working on products such as the space shuttle and he helped write a book for the Library of Congress on precious metals. Frederick was preceded by his parents and brother, Lawrence. Surviving are his wife of 55 years Mary, his children Marcia (Ted) Johnson of Torrance, CA; grandchildren Katrina and Teddy Johnson; sisters Elsie Rumisek and Rosie Klimas both of Ionia, nephews Joey Klimas of Illinois, Gerard Goodreau of Detroit, Edward Goodreau and Anthony Goodreau of Texas, nieces Paulette Goodreau, Annette Goodreau, and Mary Goodreau all of Texas, and sister-in-law Eloise Goodreau. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Melvin Fox at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2006 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ionia. The Rite of Committal will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., Ionia. The rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. on Friday night. Contributions may be made to the Hospice of Michigan.
