The Carson City Gazette, Friday, February 20, 1891
Mrs. Jane Rummer died at the home of her mother in Portland, Feb. 8th, 1891.  
She was the daughter of Mrs. Christian Thuma, and was born in Richland Co., 
Ohio January 12, 1846.  She was married to James Rummer Aug. 9, 1868, was a 
resident of Carson and vicinity for 22 years and was known by everyone as a 
true wife and loving mother.  The remains were taken to the Danby cemetery.  
She leaves a husband and seven children, besides a great many friends, to 
mourn her loss.
