She had been in ill health for the past eight years. Born March 5, 1884, in Smyrna the daughter of mr and Mrs Levi Stall, pioneer residents of that locality, the young Merl came to Belding with her parents 57 years ago. With her family Mrs.Rummler took an active and interested part in church, civic and social affairs, For many years she was copartner with her husband in operating the Belding Insurance Agency, now owned by their son. She had a beautiful contralto voice and in her younger days sang at many social functions, in the church choir and at community events, usually accompanied by her husband.
