Margaret E. Runyan Passes Away Monday
Mrs. Margaret E. Runyan, 93, one of the oldest residents of the local community,
passed away early Monday at her residence, route three.

A native of Ionia County, her parents were Martin and Amanda Cox and she was a
lifelong resident of the area. After her marriage to Frank Runyan in 1886 they lived at
Bonanza before moving to their present home in 1921. Mr. Runyan passed away in 1950.

Surviving are two sons, Leo of lake Odessa and Clair of Holt; two daughters, Mrs.
Kathryn Gardner of lake Odessa and Mrs. Jean Taylor of Lansing; eight grandchildren and
thirteen great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Runyan reposes at the residence. Funeral arrangements are pending arrival of
Larry Gardner, a grandson, who is en route from Korea.
