Lake Odessa Wave-Times-Jan. 9, 1925

Sampson Runyan was born near Elkhart, Indiana April 16, 1865 and departed this life
January 1, 1925 at the age of 59 years, 8 months and 15 days.

At an early age he moved with his parents to Plainfield, Michigan and later to Lake
Odessa where he has spent the grater part of his life.

He was united in marriage with miss Emma Trumpower, March 2, 1889. He leaves to
mourn their loss his wife, an adopted son, Rodell, and a sister, Mrs. Walter Bovee of
Grand Rapids,Michigan. Also a large circle of neighbors and friends.

His illness was of a brief duration, but during this time he gave evidence of
conversion and prayed to be delivered by death from his intense suffering.

Funeral services were held at the home conducted by M. H. Dawson. Music by Mr. and
Mrs. R. W. Goodemoot. Burial was at the Lake Side cemetery.
