RUNYAN PASSES AWAY Leo C. Runyan, 79, passed away suddenly at his home at 1402 Virginia Street Saturday. He was born in Lake Odessa Aug. 29, 1891, son of Frank and Margaret (Cox) Runyan, and was a 1911 graduate of the Lake Odessa High School and attended the Michigan State Agricultural College, East Lansing, for two years. Mr. Bunyan married Edna Baker April 28, 1917, and was a lifelong resident of the area. He owned and operated a boat livery at Jordan Lake for many years, also a television repair shop. Mr. Bunyan was a life member of the local F&AM Lodge. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Gloria) Housler of Lansing; two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Jean) Taylor of Diamondale and Mrs Kathryn Gardiner of Lake Odessa; also one brother, Clair Runyan of Torch Lake. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30, at the Pickens Funeral Chapel. Rev. Gary Lyons officiated, with burial in Lakeside Cemetery.
