Rupp, 70, formerly of Belding, died at 9:30 pm Thursday at the home of her son, Dr. Theodore J. Rupp, 842 Giddings, SE, Grand Rapids. She had been ill the past year. Born May 30, 1899, in Syracuse, N.Y., she was the daughter of John and Lottie Donohue, and made her home in Ionia from 1934 through 1948 before moving to Chicago. Since 1952 she lived in Belding until last years when she went to live with her son in Grand Rapids. Her husband, Theodore H. Rupp, preceded her in death in 1951. Mrs. Rupp was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic church in Ionia and daughters of Isabella. Surviving are her mother, Mrs. John Donohue of Denver, Colo.; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Passmore of Ruskin, Fla. and Mrs. Margaret Kaul of Odenton, Md.; two sons, Dr. Theodore J. Rupp of Grand Rapids and John C. Rupp of Union Lake. Also surviving is a brother, Carl Menzie of Alabama, and 25 grandchildren. The body is at Myers-Roetman funeral home in Ionia with prayers recited at 7:30 pm Friday. Friends may call beginning Friday afternoon. A memorial fund has been established for American Cancer Society and contributions may be left at the funeral home. Requiem high mass services will be at SS. Peter and Paul church at 10 am Saturday.
