Mrs. Rush had had several attacks and this last one came on suddenly after an active day at work. She was taken to Eaton Rapids, where everything was done, but the appendix had already broken and the poison so absorbed that nothing could save her. Mrs. Rush was fifty-six years of age and had lived in this vicinity all her life being the daughter of Mrs. Russell, one of our Revolutionary twins. She has been the most faithful of wives and mothers and the most loyal friend of all who knew her. She was prominent in the social activities of her neighborhood and identified with the United Brethren in Christ church of this village. She leaves two sons, Lewis, married and Allen, nineteen years of age at home. She was the wife of Frances Rush, who died last January and her constant care of his long inability was often commented on to her splendid worth. The funeral was held Monday at the U.B. church, the pastor, Rev. Zuse preaching. Burial was at Lakeside beside the husband.
