LAKE ODESSA – Lewis F. Rush, 82, of Lake Odessa died Friday at 5:30 pm at 
Butterworth hospital in Grand Rapids after having been admitted on Wednesday 
evening.

Mr. Rush was born December 27, 1886 in Odessa Township, the oldest son of 
Francis and Hanna Jane Russell Rush. He attended high school at Nye Beard and 
Lake Odessa, living most of his life in Odessa and Campbell Townships.

He was married to Gladys E. Rogers, April 6, 1910 and she died February 3, 
1933. August 14, 1934 he married Margaret Ackerson, who survives. He also 
leaves two daughters, Mrs. Burdette W. Livingston of Clarksville and Mrs. 
Charles W. Carlson of Grand Rapids, six grandchildren; and a brother Allen B. 
Rush of Port Huron.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 pm at Pickens funeral chapel in Lake 
Odessa. Rev. Marvin Zimmerman will officiate and burial will be at Clarksville 
Cemetery.
