Rush, 81, of R1, Brown Road, Lake Odessa, died Wednesday evening, Jan. 4, at Provincial House in Hastings. Services were held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Pickens Koops Chapel in Lake Odessa. Rev. Charles Dunbar officiated and burial was in Lakeside Cemetery. She was born in Lake Odessa, May 22, 1896, the daughter of Frank and Etta (Garfield) Foght. She graduated from Lake Odessa High School in 1915 and married Leo Rush on Aug. 19, 1915, in Ionia. He died Nov. 28, 1954. She was a member of the Lakewood United Methodist Church, Blue Star Mothers, West Odessa Aid Society, was a life long resident of the Lake Odessa area and worked for the Lake Odessa Canning Company. Surviving are three sons, Kenneth of Pontiac, Dallas of Lake Odessa and Roger of Hastings; one sister, Mrs. Verna Cooley of Lake Odessa; seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
