Death Takes Maysell Rush

Maysel Violet Rush, age 81, of Route 1, Brown Road, Lake Odessa, passed away 
Wednesday evening at the Provincial House in Hastings where she had been a 
patient since March 1973.

She was born in Lake Odessa May 22, 1896, the daughter of Frank and Ella 
(Snyder) Foght and graduated from Lake Odessa High School in 1915. She married 
Leo V. Rush August 19, 1915 in Ionia and he passed away November 28, 1954. Mrs. 
Rush was a member of the Lakewood United Methodist Church, Blue Star Mothers, 
and the West Odessa Aid Society. She was a lifelong resident of theLake Odessa 
area and had worked for 13 years at the Lake Odessa Canning Company.

Mrs. Rush is survived by three sons, Kenneth of Pontiac, Dallas of Lake Odessa, 
and Roger of Hastings; one sister, Mrs. Verne Cooley of Lake Odessa; 7 
grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Saturday at 1:30 at the Pickens-Koops Chapel with Rev. 
Charles Dunbar officiating. Interment at Lakeside Cemetery.
