Under the care of Loving Hands In-Home Care Services, she could rest peacefully in her home until the time of passing. Alice is survived by her children, Karen Sue Drake Mason of Greenville, Jeffrey Will (Denise) Drake of Grattan, and Pamela Rae Drake of Colorado; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Alice was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, George Rodgers (Rod) Drake; and her brothers. Her current husband, Kenneth Merle "Skip" Rusnell, passed away on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017. Alice's first joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She never missed any of her grandchildren's sporting events, even if that meant driving and sitting in all kinds of Michigan weather. She was always there Cheering them on. As her oldest grandsons have said "she was the coolest grandma ever!" She will also be remembered for the cakes and cookies that she took great pride in creating and giving. Alice was not only a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother but also a kind, caring, giving person. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A special thank you to Loving Hands In-Home Care services for their loving care, support, knowledge and friendship during this time. Without their help, Alice would not have been able to remain in her own home. For that the family will be forever grateful! Also, thank you to Grace Hospice for their services. Alice requested her body be donated to medical research. There will be no funeral service. The family requests that no flowers be sent but that contributions in honor of Alice be made to loving Hands In-Home Care Services, PO. Box 80013, Lansing, Mi. 48908.
