Belding Banner – Wednesday, 25 February 1920
Nellie Russell, aged 14 years, a student in the ninth grade in the local 
school, died at the Belding hospital Tuesday night at 10:30 o’clock from a 
complication of diseases.  The remains were shipped to Ionia, the home of her 
mother and funeral services and burial will take place there.  A large number 
of schoolmates with the dead girl were at the station to pay their last 
respects to their companion when the train bore her remains away this noon.
