The Ionia County News, Thursday, February 6, 1936

Mrs. Frank Russell, aged 71, died at the home of her son, Herman Russell, 
Wednesday morning, January 29.  She had resided here about six years and her 
husband had made his home with another son, Clarence, of Bachelor.  Besides 
the sons and husband two sisters, Mrs. Harriet Tompkins, of Sparta, and Mrs. 
Esther Evans of Grand Rapids, survive.  Funeral services were conducted at the 
Russell home Friday afternoon, Rev. John C. Batdorf of the Belding Church of 
God officiating, and Saturday a service in the church at Bachelor with burial 
in the family lot at that place.
