IN MEMORIUM

Sarah A. wife of B.J. Russell, of Luther, departed this life on Tuesday, April 
16th of epilepsy.

She had been a patient sufferer for several years from this dread disease, 
which despite the efforts of devoted friends and the best medical skill 
obtainable, increased in severity, finally resulting in death as above stated.

The subject of this sketch was born at Vernon, N.Y., July 14th. 1859, and 
removed with her father, Silas LaClaire, to LeRoy, Michigan, in 1880: was 
married to Mr. Russell, April 12th, 1884 and for more than eleven years was an 
exemplary and loving wife to him.

Her sister, Mrs. J. Stevenson of Hermansville and Mrs. Kirtland of Ewen, with 
her only brother, Lafayette LaClaire and wife of Big Rapids, and a large circle 
of sorrowing friends attended the funeral services which were held at the home 
of the deceased on Thursday, after which the remains were taken to Otisco, 
Ionia Co., for interment.

The mourning husband and relatives have the sympathy of the entire community.
