Services Held for Bert M. Russell
Bert M. Russell, 91, died Thursday, Dec. 25, at his home at 1021 Hague, Vandercook
Lake. 
Funeral services were held at 2:00 Saturday in the Charles J. Burden Funeral Home,
with 
interment in Hillcrest Cemetery at Jackson.

Mr. Russell, born at Bonanza, now the town of Lake Odessa, went to Jackson in 1928
to 
work at Southern Michigan Prison. He retired in 1949 with the position of correction
officer.

He was a member of he Summitt Gospel Center.

His first wife, Jennie Burns , passed away in 1952.

Surviving are his widow, Blanche; a daughter, Mrs.Naomi Hersha of Jackson; two
stepsons, 
Calvin Lehman of Vandercook Lake and Raymond Gibson of Phoenix, Ariz.; three 
grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and a brother, Dick of Kalamazoo.
