His body was found Friday in Grand river after he had been missing since Tuesday evening. He was the son of Mr and Mrs Bernard Russell. Service will be conducted by the Rev Robert Watt, pastor of the Lyons ME church. Burial will be in the Muir cemetery. Members of the family have asked that flowers be omitted. Anyone desiring to do so may contribute to a memorial fund to be used at the church. Contributions may be left with Mrs. Verna Cameron, at the post office. May 1, 1956 JAMES RUSSELL LYONS-The auditorium and parlors of the Lyons Methodist church were filled Monday afternoon for the funeral services of James Russell, the eight-year- old son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard C. Russell of Lyons. Loud speakers were placed in the downstairs parlors to allow those who were seated there to hear the services conducted by the Rev. Robert Watt, pastor of the church. The Rev. Watt took for his text "Except, that ye become as a little child, ye shall not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven". Organ music was by Miss Judith Ann Benedict. Bearers in charge of Ernest Clements were Jack Gladding, Robert Maus, George McQuillan, Condell Clements, Floyd Smith and Donald Foster. Members of Cub Scout Pack, 3088 of which Jimmie was a member were honorary bearers and were in charge of Cubmaster Charles Melvin and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Denny. Cub Scouts chairman and den mother, respectively. Jimmie's classmates in the third grade of the twin Rivers school attended in a group and were in charge of the teacher, Miss Louise Hodgman and Mrs. James Struble assistant room mother of the Parents club. In charge of the flowers was Fred Zeigler, who was assisted by the bearers and Cub Scouts. The ushers were Wilbur Bennett and Donald Burger. Representing the Michigan State Police was Sgt. James Kiomento of the Ionia post. Interment was in the Muir cemetery. Relatives attending from away were Mr and Mrs Raymond Russell, Mr and Mrs Raymond Russell Jr., Mr and Mr George Lee, Mrs Verne Hall, Mr and Mrs Robert Hall and Fritz Hall, all of Bay City; Mr and Mrs Edward Brandt of Dearborn, Mr and Mrs David Thomas of Livonia, Arthur Clements of Detroit, Mr and Mrs William McQueen of Greenville, Mr and Mrs Lester Randa and son Timothy of Hubbardston.
