Lake Odessa Wave Thursday May 21, 1953

PLINEY RUSSELL DIED SUNDAY AT IONIA
Pliney Russell 84, died Sunday evening at the Ionia hospital where he had been a 
patient for several days. He was taken to the Cook's Rest Home in Ionia about 
two weeks ago from his home here.

A lifelong resident of Odessa township with the exception of two years spent in 
Grand Ledge, he operated a dray line before moving there. He owned and operated 
a second hand store here for the last 38 years, after returning here from Grand 
Ledge.

Surviving are one daughter Mrs.Alta Wiley of Windsor, Canada, a son Peter 
(Esteven) Russell of Lake Odessa and grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 at the Pickens funeral chapel with 
burial in Lakeside cemetery.
