CLAYTON RUSSEL DIED SUDDENLY MAY 13 --------------- DEATH CAME SUDDENLY, LIVED ALL HER LIFE IN OR NEAR LAKE ODESSA. FUNERAL HELD SUNDAY AT RADICAL U. B. CHURCH -------------- Everyone was surprised Friday morning to hear of the death of Mrs. Clayton Russell. Mrs. Russel had been apparently in her usual health having done her usual duties during the day. At night she was taken ill and the doctor summoned but died in a short time. The funeral was held Sunday at the Radical U. B. church, Rev. Mourer preaching the sermon and burial was at Lakeside. ------------- OBITUARY Debbie Jane, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Roberts was born in Odessa township, August 9, 1864 and died at her home in Odessa about 10:30 in the evening of May 13, 1920, at the age of 55 years 8 months and 4 days. She was one of a family of six children, the mother, one sister and one brother having preceded her to the spirit world. July 15, 1888 she was united in marriage to Clayton Russel and for nearly 32 years has been a faithful wife and great helpmate, one who will be greatly missed. Beside the grief stricken husband, she leaves an aged father and step-mother, one sister, two brothers and a large circle of other relatives and friends to mourn her sudden departure. A sudden call, a quick respond, And Debbie is no more: But memories of her living past; Will cheer us ever more.
