These two women gained fame and laurels for being really daughters of the American Revolution. Their father fought in that war and became father to these twins at the age of 90 years. Year after year these women received notices and presents from the D. A. R. headquarters and their fame had been spread to many places in Michigan. The funeral was held at the U. B. church Tuesday forenoon and the W. R. C. of which she was a member, attended in a body. The casket was draped with the flag presented her by the D. A. R. and she lay amid a profusion of flowers. Rev. C. H. Zuse gave the sermon and Mrs. Bert Mourer and Miss Verda Gatner sang. Mrs. Russel was of an endearing disposition and every one had a great regard and respect for her and she gave every one in return a cheerful smile and glad hand shake. ----------- OBITUARY Elizabeth Ann Frank was born in Vaughn near Richmond Hill, Canada, Oct. 24, 1840, and died at her home in Lake Odessa Sept. 4, 1920, aged 79 years, 10 months and 11 days. She was married to Robinson Russell of Yorkshire England. Mr. Russell departed this life 11 months before his aged wife. Mrs. Russell was a real daughter of the American Revolution. Her twin sister, Mrs. Julia Ann Demaray having passed away eight years ago. Mrs. Russell leaves to mourn their loss four sons and four daughters, twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren. There's naught on earth to rest on, All things are hanging here. The smiles of love we gaze on, The friends we hold most dear. I pray we must not weep For "Mother" is asleep. Her tired soul has found a peaceful rest. Though we may miss her here This thought should give us cheer, The one we mourn is happy with the blest: Her suffering now is o'er, Her face on earth we'll see no more Though memories of her life we hold most dear. She has gone to live with Jesus To dwell forever more, To watch and wait for loved ones On that eternal shore. For she was Thine and not our own, Thou hast not done us wrong, We thank Thee for the precious gift Bestowed on us so long. And so we leave her with Thee. Thou knowest all things best. And bend ourselves unto thy will And say, "Rest, Sweet, Rest."
