W. RUSSELL Died Tuesday Night After a Long Illness. JAs. W.Russell, who was born and raised on the farm just east of Bonanza, died there last Tuesday night at about 8 o'clock, after an illness of several months, death being due to a general breaking down of the digestive organs. He had been a terrible sufferer and bore his troubles with patience, knowing that the end was not far off. Before his death he had made some requests regarding his funeral arrangements, one of them being that Rev.Skentelbury be permitted to preach the funeral sermon. He leaves a widow, four sons and three daughters, two children having died in infancy. The living children are Bert, Charles, Lon, Jesse of this place; Mrs.W.A.Cain, Mrs.James Grace, Della Russell of Hastings. The funeral will be held Saturday, probably at the house and Rev.Skentelbury will officiate if he can be secured. The Masons will have charge of the burial which will take place in Lakeside Cemetery. Deceased was born Feb. 26, 1846, and was married Nov. 27, 1867 to Rebecca Knapp of this township.
