                            AMY A. RUSSELL

MUIR-Muir's oldest resident, Mrs.Amy A.Russell, 98, died after a long illness 
early Thursday morning at Ionia County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Aug.9, 1882 in Decatur Township in Van Buren County, the daughter 
of William and Martha Gillet.

She married Leo Russell in 1912. He preceded her in death in 1961.

The Russells lived in the Belding area for many years before moving to Muir in 
1944.

She was a member of the Muir Presbyterian Church and the Ladies' Society of the 
church.

Mrs.Russell is survived by one son,Seth of Pewamo; tow daughters,Mrs>Grace 
Nevins of Lansing and Mrs.Dorothy Rowland of Muir; 23 grandchildren, 56 great-
grandchildren, 108 great-great-grandchildren and four great-great-great-
grandchildren.

Three o preceded her in death.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in theMuir Presbyterian Church, with the 
Rev. Howard McDonald officiating..
