Lake Odessa Scrapbook-Fri.September 6, 1895 

Claudie Russell, daughter of Mr.and Mrs.James Russell died last Friday after a 
week's illness with typhoid fever. The funeral occurred Sunday at the 
Congregational Church,Rev.Siebert officiating. The funeral was largely attended 
by her many young friends of which she had a host. The music was particularly 
fine and the words of the pastor touching. The ceremony at the grave was largely 
attended and as the casket was lowered it seemed to rest in a bed of flowers.The 
deceased was nine years of age and will be greatly missed by her many 
playmates.The parents have sympathy of the community.
