He leaves a widow, one of the twin Revolutionary daughters, and eight children. His life was a quiet one, devoted to his family. Robinson Russell was born in Yorkshire, England, January 18, 1840, and died at his home in Lake Odessa October 10, 1919, at the age of 79 years, eight months, 22 days. Mr. Russell crossed the Atlantic at the age of 14 years and settled in Canada. He was married to Elizabeth Ann Frank of Toronto, Canada. He moved to Michigan with his family in the fall of 1882 and has resided in the house where he died for the past 31 years. He leaves to mourn an aged wife, two aged sisters, eight children, 15 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a great many friends. Mr. Russell was a faithful husband, an ideal father, a kind neighbor, and without complaint. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon October 12, at 2 o’clock in the Liberal U.B. church, Rev. C. H. Zuse officiating. Burial in Lakeside cemetery.
