C. Russell died at the Russell home on Bridge street, Monday, March 10, aged 70 years. She and her husband have been residents here for nearly forty years. Her maiden name was Hannah A. Olds and she was born in the township of Parma, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, October 26, 1843. At sixteen years of age she came with her mother and youngest brother, Willard R. Olds to Orleans to reside near her sister, Mrs. George Chickering and brother, Loren C. Fales. In 1866 she was united in married with J. Charley Russell and settled on a farm at Golds Lake, later moving to the farm now occupied by the son, Guy Russell. Mrs. Russell was highly respected and a woman who was depended on to look after the affairs of the farm and household. She had been in poor health for some months and an attack of grippe hastened her death. Her husband and one son, Guy Russell, survive her. The funeral service was held Wednesday at 1 o’clock p.m. at her late residence where many old friends were present to pay their last respects. Rev. Edrie Collins of the Congregational church officiated. The remains were laid away in the Otisco cemetery in the Russell lot.
