The Belding News, Friday, January 8, 1904
Eva, wife of Albert Russell now of Luther, formerly of Smyrna, and daughter of 
George Purdy, died in the U.B.A. hospital in Grand Rapids Wednesday morning 
from the effects of an operation to remove a tumor which was performed last 
Saturday.  The funereal services will be held in the church at 2 o’clock 
Friday afternoon conducted by the Rev. H. N. Spear of Belding.  Interment in 
Smyrna cemetery.

Mrs. Legee Hall of Belding was a guest of Smyrna relatives Wednesday,  Mrs. 
Hall is an aunt of the late Mrs. Albert Russell who died so unexpectedly in 
the U.B.A. hospital in Grand Rapids Wednesday morning.
