The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, August 19, 1994
Stephen D. Rutledge, 37, of Belding, died at his home.  He was born January 
29, 1957, in Greenville, the son of Neil and Nancy (Riker) Rutledge.  He had 
worked at the Ionia Elevator and has worked for the past 10 years at Specialty 
Block Co. in Ionia.  He was an avid racing fan.

Surviving are his father Neil Rutledge of Grand Rapids; one brother, Rodney 
Rutledge of Ionia; two sisters, Laura (Stephen) Brown and Johanna (Bert) 
Patterson both of Ionia; his step-father, Robert Guernsey of Ionia; seven step 
brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.  He was 
preceded in death by his mother Nancy Guernsey on August 3, 1992.

Visitation will be at the Rich St. Chapel Friday from 2-4 and 7-8:30 p.m. 
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cook Funeral Home, 
Ionia.  The Rev. Kenneth Harger of Shiloh Community Church will officiate.  
Interment will be in Highland Park Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be 
made to the choice of the donor, envelopes are available to the Cook Funeral 
Home.
