Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Sat. May 25, 1968


Donald A. Rutter of 312 South King, died Saturday morning at Ionia County 
Memorial hospital after being admitted Wednesday afternoon.

He was the son of Alfred and Harriette Rutter and was married February 17, 1960 
in Lansing to Julia Reglin, at which time came to Ionia.

A member of First Christian church, he was a former elder and deacon. He was a 
member of the Ionia lodge 36 F&AM, and Order of Eastern Star. A retired 
Oldsmobile employee he was currently employed at Lyons Variety store.

Besides his wife Julia, he leaves a son Donald D. of Lansing; two daughters, 
Mrs. Hattie Provo, Mrs. LaDonna Johnston, both of Lansing; stepson, Charles 
Reglin of Ionia; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Josephine Steenbock of Laingsburg and 
Mrs. Eugene Horn of Ionia; 15 grandchildren; brother Richard Rutter of Mecosta; 
two sisters, Mrs. Vivian McComb and Mrs. Virginia Whitaker of Lansing.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 pm at Stone-Kauffman funeral home. Rev. 
Theodore Forbes of FirstChristian church will officiate and interment will be 
at Lakeside cemetery, Lake Odessa
