The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, January 8, 1970
A former Ionia resident, Mrs. Katherine Rutz, 69, died at her home in 
Magnolia, Ark., early Wednesday morning.  She was born in Ionia, February 8, 
1900, the daughter of Henry and Caroline Franks Miller, and lived here most of 
her life.  After the death of her husband, Henry, she moved to Charlotte and 
then to Magnolia, Ark, to make her home with her daughter.  While in Magnolia 
she was a member of Faith Lutheran church.

Surviving are a son, Charles, of Ionia; two daughters, Mrs. Norma Sebring of 
Magnolia, Ark., Mrs. Louise Tingley of Grand Rapids; eight grandchildren and 
two great grandchildren; two brothers, Edward Miller of Albuquerque, N.M., and 
Ewald of Ionia.

Funeral services in Magnolia will be early Thursday morning and the body will 
arrive in Ionia late Thursday evening.  Funeral services in Ionia will be at 
Boynton-Leddick funeral home Saturday at 2 p.m.  Rev. A. R. Gallert will 
officiate and interment will be at Highland Park cemetery.  Family will be at 
the funeral home Friday from 7 until 9 p.m.  Bearers will be Jack and Leo 
Rutz, Charles A. Smith, Bruce Sweers, Dwight Camp and Paul Irish.
