November 28, 2020 RUTZ Jack Charles Rutz age 73 of Saranac passed away after a courageous battle with Cancer. He was born July 8, 1947 in Sheridan the son of Charles"Bud" and Verda "Betty" (Shindorf) Rutz. Jack married Charlett Robinson August 6,1966 in Saranac. Together they raised 4 children and many foster children over their years together. Jack worked at General Motors in Lansing for 32 1/2 years until retiring at he age of 48. He bred raised, trained and hunted Coon Dogs for many years having much success, 3-way Grand Night Champion "Ace and 2 World Champions "Bubba" and "Curly". Jack was a member of the Wolverine Coon Hunter's Club. He collected knives, enjoyed flea markets and garage sales. Jack was an avid U of M fan and NASCAR fan especially Rusty Wallace. Surviving is his beloved wife of 54 years Charlett Rutz of Saranac. Children; Tracy (Rob) Bussa of Clarksville, Kelli (Rich) Melcher of Saranac, Ron C. Rutz of Lowell and Annie (Greg) Koomen of Grand Rapids, daughter-in-law Kim Rutz of Ionia. Grandchildren; Tiffany (Tyler) Quillan, Kelsea Melcher, Kyrsten Rutz, Levi Koomen, Brooklyn Koomen, Cody and Roy Valdez Jr., Sister Rita (Dennis) Imhoff of Orleans and Brother Leo (Linda) Rutz of Saranac. Many extended family and friends. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, sister Janie Oliver, his father and mother-in-law, Gerald and Eloyce Robinson and brother-in-law Gerald J.Robinson III. Cremation has take place and there will be private services held. Services will be live streamed Saturday December 5, 2020 at 11:00 am. on Lake Funeral Home facebook page.
