JACK CHARLES RUTZ of Saranac
Died November 21, 2020-age 73 of Cancer.
Born July 8, 1947 in Sheridan
Son of Charles "Bud" and Verda "Betty" (Shindorf) Rutz.
Married Charlett Robinson August 6, 1966 in Saranac.
They raised four children and many foster children during their marriage.
Retired from General Motors in Lansing after 32 1/2 years at age 48.
Jack bred, raised, trained and hunted Coon Dogs successfully for many years,
3-way Grand Night Champion "Ace" and 2 world Champions "Bubba" and "Curly".
Enjoyed flea markets garage sales, while collecting knives.
An avid U of M fan and a NASCAR fan, especially Rusty Wallace.
Survived by his wife of 54 years, Charlett, four Children: Tracy (Rob) Bussa of 
Clarksville, Kelli (Rich) Melcher of Saranac, Ron C. Rutz of Lowell and Annie 
(Greg) Koomen of Grand Rapids, daughter-in-law Kim Rutz of Ionia, 
grandchildren:Tiffany (Tyler) Quillan, Kelsea Melcher, Jared Melcher, Kyrsten 
Rutz, Levi Koomen, Brooklyn Koomen, Cody Bussa, Katie Lower and Maddie Bussa; 
three great-grandchildren; Ciara Eloyce Quillan, Nicholas Bussa and  Roy Valdex 
Jr.; sister Rita (Dennis) Imhoff of Orleans and Brother Leo (Linda) Rutz of 
Saranac. Many extended family members & friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, sister, Janie Oliver, his father & mother-in-
law, Gerald & Eloyce Robinson and brother-in-law Gerald J.Robinson III.
Private services will streamline on Saturday. December 5, 220 at 11 AM on Lake 
Funeral Home Facebook Page.
May make memorial contributions to Sparrow Ionia Hospital-Oncology or Relay for 
Life.
