All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/mi/mifiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Sandy Heintzelman sheintz@iserv.net February 28, 2015, 2:00 pm Carson City Gazette, 11 Nov 1937 Mrs. Alice Kennedy Ryan Alice Kennedy was born in Kerryquinn, Tipperary County, Ireland, April 15, 1845, and died at her farm home near Hubbardston, Ionia county, November 6, 1937, following and illness of seven years during which time her daughter Mary and son Andrew were continuously at her side. During this long period of illness Mrs. Ryan was always cheerful and enjoyed visiting with her many friends. She came to the United States with her parents when she was seven years of age, locating at Mumford, New York, later coming to Hubbardston, Michigan, where she was united in marriage to William J. Ryan, a Civil War veteran, on June 24, 1869, and moved to the farm home which has been her residence until the date of her death. Her oldest son, John, preceded her in death some years ago. An only brother of Mrs. Ryan was killed in action during the Civil War. Also surviving are five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, together with a host of friends. Funeral services were held at St. Johns church, Hubbardston, Tuesday, November 9, 1937.
