Stephen H. Rydahl, 49, of Sheridan, went to be with his Lord on Monday 
evening, July 17, 2000, at his home with his family by his side.  He was born 
on July 13, 1951, in Greenville to Henry and Virginia D. (Chapman) Rydahl.  He 
married Marion T. Whitford on Jan. 13, 1979, in Ionia and she survives him.

Also surviving are one daughter, Renay (David) Jensen of McBride; one step-
daughter, Marcie (Keith) Weber of New Haven, Ind.; two grandchildren, Jacob 
and Alexandria Dawn Jensen; two sister, Marjean (Rev. Marvin) Eldridge of 
Weidman and Priscilla (William) Key of Rochester Hills; one sister-in-law, 
Charlene (James) Bechenheimer of Ann Arbor; one brother-in-law, Steven 
Whitford of Monroe; and two exchange students, Martin Paul and Marija Krha.  
He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Rydahl on Feb. 2, 1993, and 
by his father, Henry Rydahl on June 10, 1993.

Mr. Rydahl has been a resident of the Sheridan area since 1992 and was 
formerly of Ionia and Greenville.  He was a member of the Calvary Baptist 
Church of Greenville and was employed as a corrections officer at I-Max in 
Ionia.

Visitation will be today from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Stebbins and Simpson 
Funeral Home, Sheridan.  Funeral services will be on Thursday, July 20, 2000, 
beginning at 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Greenville, with the Rev. Mark 
Shaw and the Rev. Kevin Pycraft officiating.  Interment will be at the South 
Sidney Cemetery, Sidney.  The family suggests memorial contributions to the 
Lincoln Lake Baptist Youth Camp.
