Ryerson, age 73, passed away Friday morning at the Sunshine Sanitarium in Grand Rapids after a year’s illness. He was born in Alma, September 27, 1882, the son of Edmond and Adelaide Ryerson. Most of his life was spent in this city, and for many years his home had been at 622 Morton Avenue. Until his illness forced him to quit, he worked for the Gibson Refrigerator Company. He had also been employed in the Silk Mills, Belding Hall company and the City Water Works previous to that time. He was a member of the Lutheran church. The deceased was united in marriage to Katherine A. Rzeteima April 2, 1917 in Belding. Survivors include his wife, Katherine, two daughters, Mrs. Samuel Loper of Grant and Mrs. Lawrence Ketner of Napoleon, one sister, Eloise Powers of Battle Creek, a brother, Joseph Ryerson of Muskegon and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Ellis Funeral Home with Rev. Wilbur Kirby of the Fist Church of God officiating. Burial was in the River Ridge cemetery. Pall bearers were John Stahlin, Cleo Everett, Paul Nichols, Byrne Nichols, Ben Corbett and Harold Barnes.
