When five years old he came with his parents to Noble County, Indiana, where he lived until 1880 when with his family he came to Eaton County, Michigan. Three years ago he moved to Danby Township, Ionia County. December 25, 18??, he was married to Barbara Crone, who survives him. They had nine children, 4 sons and 5 daughters, 8 of whom are living, Herbert W. Rawson and Walter C. of Grand Ledge, William H. of Grand Rapids, George E. of Lansing, Mrs Clara Hunter, Mrs Nettie Witherell, Mrs Mable Reams of Sunfield, Mrs Laura Figg of Shepherd. He leaves twenty-four grandchildren, one brother, Myron Rawson, of Barryton, and two sisters, Mrs Mary Warner of Hastings, Mrs Phebe Ruggles, of Denver, Colorado. He was a kind husband and a loving father and will be missed by all. Funeral services were held at the Hope Church Friday at two o'clock Rev. Buell officiating.
