The Carson City Gazette, Thursday, November 4, 1921
Myra H. Holmes, daughter of Ransom and Aurelia Holmes, was born July 16, 1854 
in Seneca, Co., Ohio.  She came with her parents to Ionia Co., Michigan in 
1863, then to Clinton county, where most of her younger days were spent.  She 
was united in marriage to Geo. Sabin in 1884, the next few years being spent 
in Belding.  Her health failing she removed to California in 1905.  While 
there she united with the Baptist church.  She returned to Michigan in 1918 
and remained here until her death October 26, 1921.  

She leaves to mourn their loss one sister, Mrs. Byron Goolthrite, and two 
nieces, Miss Minnie Talcott of Grand Rapids and Miss Ethel Goolthrite of 
Carson City, also a host of friends.

The funeral services were held at the home of Byron Goolthrite Friday 
afternoon, interment at Hubbardston.
