Shawn Thomas Sage, 16, of Lansing, formerly of Lake Odessa, died April 17.  He 
attended Lake Odessa Schools for most of his life, until moving to Lansing, 
where he attended Lansing Everett High School for the past eight months.  He 
received his black belt in karate while attending Lakewood High School.  He 
enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his father Steven and step-mother Pam of Lansing; his mother 
Sandra of Lake Odessa; a brother, Michael of Schofield Barricks, Hawaii; a step-
sister, Stephanie Taylor of Lansing; grandparents, Raymond Farrell of Lake 
Odessa, Mary Ann Farrell of Lake Odessa, Dale and Eleanor Sage of Saranac; 
great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray D. Farrell of Lake Odessa; several aunts, 
uncles and cousins.

Graveside services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Lakeside Cemetery, Lake Odessa, 
with the Rev. George Speas of Kilpatrick United Brethern Church officiating. 
There will be no visitation.  Memorial contributions may be made to the 
Listening Ear Crisis Intervention Center, 547 ½ E. Grand River, East Lansing, 
Mich. 48823.  Funeral arrangements are by Palmer-Bush Lansing Chapel.
