Dorothy M. Sage, 86, 9246 Belding Road, Belding, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 15,
1995, at Belding Christian Nursing Home.  She was born Dec. 24, 1908, in Grant,
the daughter of Edward and Clara Kern Buell.

She owned and operated Sage’s Vegetable Farm with her husband for 35 years.  She
was a member of First United Methodist Church, Belding, the Mable McNaughton
Circle of the church, and also a former member of the Business and Professional
Women’s Club of Belding.

On April 30, 1927, in Greenville, she married Harry Russell Sage, who preceded
her in death in 1973.  She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia
and Kenneth Young of Belding; one daughter-in-law, Norma Sage of Ionia; one
sister, Mrs. Pauline Opland of Eagle Harbor; and three grandchildren.  She was
also preceded in death by two sons, Russell in 1990, John in 1995; and one
sister, Viola DeGraw.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Belding,
with Pastors Nathaniel Johnson and Kenneth Harger officiating.  Interment will
be in Otisco Cemetery.  Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at
the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Eastern Star, United
Methodist Church or Shiloh Community Church.
