Sage, 94, of Belding, died Friday, Dec. 12, 2008, at Eaton County Care Facility, Charlotte. She was born May 28, 1914 in Millet, the daughter of Clarence and Bessie Wall Blough. Ivene had retired as a cook for General Motors in Lansing. She was a member of the Greenville Church of the Nazarene and Grand Ledge Church of the Nazarene. Ivene was also a member of the Fifty Plus Band. She was preceded in death by her parents; twin sister, Irene; son, Gilbert Babcock; grandson, Tommy Babcock; and three husbands. Ivene is survived by her children, Richard and Debbie Carlson of Holt, Daniel and Donna Darrow of Onondaga, Vance Courser of Charlotte, Vicki Phillips of Cumming, Ga.; stepchildren, Forest and Caroline Sage of Sheridan, Friend and Fay Sage of Belding; many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Funeral and committal services are 2 p.m. today at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding, with Pastor Dallas McFarland officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing. Visitation is one hour before the service. Memorials may be given to Greenville Church of the Nazarene.
